Whether you're a taco lover or a casual diner, there's something here to satiate your cravings.
Upon stepping inside, you’re greeted by a warm and welcoming atmosphere, a hallmark of a family-operated restaurant. It's not just about the food; it's about the experience. The friendly staff, as many customers have noted, makes you feel right at home.
The real star of the show, however, is the food. Los Gallitos serves a variety of mouth-watering options, from al pastor to cabeza, chorizo, and pollo. Each taco is a celebration of flavors, crafted using recipes that transport you straight to Mexico. As Heather Ayluardo puts it, this place is "as close to a real Mexican family-operated restaurant as you’ll find in this part of Denver."
The salsa bar has earned praise too, offering an array of options complete with fresh jalapenos, radishes, and cucumbers. It’s an explosion of flavor that adds a personal touch to each taco and enhances the overall dining experience. The addition of homemade aguas frescas further elevates your meal, delivering authentic, refreshing flavors that you won't find in your average taqueria.
Moreover, it’s the affordability paired with generous portions that truly makes Los Gallitos a standout. Regular customers rave about the street tacos, claiming they are "bomb" and appreciate the value they receive. This is fast-paced dining at its best, where every meal feels like a celebration of Mexican culture.
In summary, if you're seeking a culinary adventure that embodies authenticity, flavor, and community spirit, look no further than Los Gallitos. “ This place is legit. I lived in Mexico for a year and I go back to visit frequently—this is as close to a real Mexican family-operated restaurant as you’ll find in this part of Denver. Their aguas frescas are actually homemade, their recipes are straight from Mexico (not Americanized!) and their portions and prices are incredibly reasonable. ”
“ Bomb street tacos and at a great price too! Can't wait to go back!! ”
“ For those that gave bad reviews, they are either Karens or don’t know how to order their food. I have been all over the world and this remains my Go-To place for tacos. It’s simple, if you don’t like chewy tripe tacos, ASK FOR THEM CRISPY. Also, if you don’t like small, hole-in-wall restaurants, then maybe don’t go to them. This place is authentic, great people, amazing food. My favorite tacos are CRISPY (Doraditos) Tripe, and my wife loves the Birria. Never lets us down. ”
“ I love this latr night spot i ran into a differeny set of workers last visit and they were awesome ”
“ This place is fire! I'm a trucker that lives in southern California and I've eaten at some good places and this spot reminds me of home if not better. I've found a new place to eat when I come to Colorado oh and they are open late ”
“ Salsa bar is delicious and OmG spicy! Great customer service and so far great food. I had asked for my chicken burrito to come with fresh avacado- the customer rep was kind enough to let me test try a small piece piece because it was not soft enough for their taste, very thoughtful! ”
